Vermicomposting

Vermicomposting (earthworm composting) turns kitchen food scraps into nutritious soil amendments or growth media for plants. When vermicompost (worm castings) is added to soil, it boosts the nutrients available to plants and enhances soil structure and drainage. Vermicompost helps plants grow bigger and produce higher yields, and it can reduce the impact of some pests and diseases.

We partner with local grocery outlets to collect on a weekly basis their imperfect fruits and vegetables. This food waste is fed to our Red Wiggler composting worms who turn it into Mother Nature’s finest fertilizer.

In 2024 we collected over 6500lbs of food waste!
