The crown jewel of our environmentally friendly offerings includes nutrient-dense vermicompost (worm castings) which we generate from the expired produce of local grocery stores.

Fruit Trees
Come check out our home grown fruit trees. We currently propagate apple, pear and asian pear trees, thornless blackberries, citrus and over a dozen types of artisanal fig varieties.

Bees and Bee Hotels
Let us help you attract native pollinators to your yard with our colorful habitats and premium nesting materials. Starter sets of Blue Orchard Mason Bee cocoons available seasonally.

Seasonal Fresh Fruit
Starting each year in late May we will be introducing a variety of freshly harvested fruit grown without pesticides or insecticides.

We recycle food waste throughout the Triangle to generate our 100% pure worm castings.

The mission of Nurtured By Nature Growers is to repurpose local food waste while encouraging North Carolinians to grow their own healthy fruits and vegetables. We are partnered with grocers throughout the Triangle to collect commercial produce unsuitable for sale or donation. That produce is fed to our composting worms where it’s naturally converted into nutrient-dense castings known as vermicompost. Nature’s most sustainable soil amendment -- vermicompost - is the cornerstone of our bountiful and resilient fruit and berry plants.
